Polish violinist Agnieszka Kulowska is based in Innsbruck (Austria) where she leads the second violin section of the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra. She was born in Gdynia (Poland), and studied in Warsaw and Bern (Switzerland). Agnieszka successfully graduated three of her master’s degrees with distinction. During her studies, she perfected her orchestral skills performing with various orchestras particularly with Sinfonia Varsovia and Luxembourg Philharmonie. From 2012 to 2017, she was an assistant in the violin master class of Professor Monika Urbaniak-Lisik at Hochschule der Künste Bern.
Agnieszka has performed as a soloist in the following orchestras: Chamber Orchestra InnStrumenti, Telfs Orchestra, Camerata 41zig, Camerata di Lugano and Bern Symphony Orchestra. As a very active chamber musician, she regularly plays in various groups. She is a first violinist in Eurasica String Quartet and also performs as part of Hoffmann-Kulowska, a violin-harp duo. She has been invited to numerous festivals such as Davos, Gstaad, Hopfgarten, Rapperswill.
Agnieszka is a passionate musical educator. She often holds workshops and creates her own projects including free-form concerts and musical cabaret. Among her inspiring teachers, Agnieszka owes the most to Monika Urbaniak-Lisik, Wanda Wiłkomirska, Magdalena Szczepanowska, Monika Baer, Helen Brunner-Spira and Barbara Schwarz.
