Wolfgang Kraemer

Wolfgang Kraemer studied recorder with Marion Michel at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. His teachers also included Armgard Pudelko and Walter van Hauwe. He has toured Europe, Asia and New Zealand as a soloist and member of various baroque ensembles, and for ten years he was the director of the Jugendmusikschule Untere Saar school for musically gifted children in Merzig, Germany. From 2006 – 2013, he has taught at the University of Canterbury. He founded the ensemble Il Raccolto, specializing in the authentic interpretation of Baroque music. He is the director of the Pettman National Junior Academy of Music and the International Akaroa Summer Festival.
